Residential Home with a difference

Brett Vale is a converted barn set in the heart of Constable country on the Essex/ Suffolk border, which was established in 1993.

Our lengthy drive gives you the opportunity to appreciate the breathtaking views and beautiful scenery of the extensive grounds that the home is set in. This includes our  three beautiful alpacas grazing in a field greeting you.

Brett Vale is a small home which is registered to accommodate ten adults.

Brett Vale has a family feel for our residents some having been here for over twenty five years. The home has the grounds to facilitate many activities including a new games room complex which includes two cabins and a hot tub.

We may be remote but we have access to the community daily with Hadleigh being five miles away. Ipswich and Colchester are only a short drive away.

I'm proud to lead my team here at Brett Vale. After a somewhat unusual entrance into  the care industry I celebrated my 25th  anniversary working at Brett Vale in 2023.

 I am supported by  two deputies Matthew and Julie.  Matthew has succeeded in being promoted to Deputy in the seven years that he has been working here. Julie came to us from a care home recruitment role, working in the office she is putting her previous skills to good use. 

Our staff are made up of a multicultural diverse and unique team that that provides 24 hour personal care for our residents.

We have a wonderful creative team who have amazing relationships with our residents. Our staff are incredibly inventive when it comes to ideas to keeping the residents entertained , involved, active and happy. Alternatively the residents can relax in one of the cabins or the hot tub. Working to encourage residents independence whilst promoting a person centred approach at all times. 

Everybody likes to get involved in celebrating traditional holidays such as Christmas or more personal events such as birthdays.
